Initiatives

Where the work happens

Networks are judged on what they actually do. These are the programmes Florida advocates can join today.

Florida

Our own programmes

Work led from Florida, for Florida.

Florida initiatives to be added

Replace with the programmes TFLA runs directly. Each one needs a name, who leads it, what it is trying to achieve, and how someone joins. Where something has already happened, say when and what came of it. Undated programmes read as aspirations.

Global Tech Advocates

Working groups

Ten GTA working groups run across the network. Florida advocates can join any of them, and the groups are where most cross-border collaboration starts.

HealthTech

Technology in healthcare delivery, diagnostics and life sciences.

DataTech

Data infrastructure, governance and the businesses built on it.

Semiconductor

Supply chain, design and manufacturing, including policy engagement.

Quantum

Quantum computing and its commercial applications.

FoodTech

Agriculture, food production and distribution technology.

Future of Work

How technology is reshaping employment and the workplace.

RetailTech

Commerce, logistics and the technology behind both.

Metaverse

Immersive technology and its practical uses.

Young Entrepreneurs

Support for founders early in their careers.

Black Women in Tech

Representation, access and advancement across the sector.

Tech for good

Tech for Net Zero

A GTA resource hub bringing together technology companies working on decarbonization, and the investors and corporates who need them.

Relevant to Florida in a way it is not everywhere. Climate resilience, coastal infrastructure and energy are live commercial questions here, not distant ones.

Tech for Net Zero hub

Expansion

GTA Launch Pad

A resource hub for companies scaling into new markets, sector and country agnostic, built on the advocate networks already operating in each territory.

For Florida companies it works in both directions: a route out into Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, and a route in for international companies choosing a US landing point.

Want to lead something?

Advocates start initiatives as often as they join them. If there is work you think Florida should be doing, propose it.
